CURRICULAR placements



  • Curricular placements:
  1. A minimum of 360 hours of placements must be done in a single agreement.
  2. A stock 12 ECTS optative credits is enroled for "external placements", which are not dividable.
  3. You can only enrole these credits once in your titulation.
  4. Excepcionally, the students that are finishing their studies and only have less than 12 credits left can enrole just the credits they are pending.
  5. The enrolment of these credits is open permanently and can be done at any moment during the academic year.
  6. At the end of the agreement, the tutor of the collaborating company and the student must both fill, sign and send the original of final reports (annexes 2B and 3B, respectively) to the Labour Relations Unit, that will make them arrive to the academic tutor. The reports must be filled in (completed) individually.
  7. A poster session will be held in which the students will show the work done in the company. The period for agreements that start during 2019-20 (agreements as of September 16) is as follows:

The qualification of the placements will be about 10 and will be done by the UPC tutor, taking into account the following aspects:

  • Report of the tutor of the company.
  • Student's report.
  • Poster (clarity, structuring, writing, coherence ...).
  • Oral presentation (ordering, synthesis, clarity, ...).
  • Answer to the questions.
  • Overall assessment of work (knowledge acquired, objectives achieved regarding the proposed, mathematical content, difficulty and level, application of previous knowledge acquired during the Degree studies).

  • Curricular placements linked with the Degree's Final Project:
  1. The credits of the Degree's Final Project must be enroled by the time when the signing of the agreement of educational cooperation takes place. This enrolment is enough and it is not necessary to enroll the stock of 12 ECTS optative credits.
  2. The educational project and the Degree's Final Project must be coincident.
  3. The placement is tutorized by the director of the Degree's Final Project.
  4. In the total ammount of placement hours, the hours dedicated by the student to the Degree's Final Project at the enterprise must be included.
  5. The maximum ammount of placement hours can be exceeded by 225 more hours.
  6. It is not necessary to give any report.
