University-enterprise
The specifity of the studies and the research in mathematics and statistics at the UPC has its strong point in the interaction with the technological environment of its location, in a technical university. Today, the management indicators place the mathematical community of the UPC between the first universities and research centers of Spain, with a high international recognition.
The FME is strongly committed to research and knowledge transfer to the enterprise environment, be it institutional, scientific or technologic. Research and technology transfer are basic activities to promote the quality of the studies and job opportunities and they make the higher education contribute to society.
The main collaboration mechanisms are:
- Educational cooperation agreement (spanish)
- Job bank
- Forum FME-Working world (spanish)
- Grants and prizes (spanish) for the students
- Codirection of bachelor's thesis, master's thesis or doctoral thesis
There is also the possibility to publish offers in the job bank of the Facultat d'Economia i Empresa de la UB for the bachelor's degree in Statistics students and to sign educational cooperation agreements with this university.
